Background :
Kichhouchha Sharif is a small village in Eastern U.P. which is situated at 225 km to the east of Lucknow (Capital of U.P.) on Faizabad - Azamgarh Road, and 150 km to the west of Varanasi. In this village is situated the shrine of a great & famous spiritual leader "Gaus Ul Alam Hazrat Makhdoom Sultan Syed Ashraf Jahangir Simnani" which has been a centre of spirituality for the last 700 year..

Thousands of people from all over the world are always present here to get spiritual treatment & cure. On the occasion of Urs, which comes once in a year, lacs of believers from all over the world gather here & get their wishes fulfilled by the grace of ALLAH.

On one hand the heart is filled with joy due to the fact that ALLAH has made his "Vali" so powerful that due to his "Roohani Nazar", thousands are healed daily but on the other hand the heart is filled with sorrow due to the fact that if there is any medical emergency there is no hospital in the locality. One has either to go 225 km westward to Luchnow or 150 km eastward to Varanasi.

With this thought in mind, I discussed the matter with my revered father, Shaikh e Azam that a hospital with all modern facilities should be constructed. Hazrat Sahib e Sajjada was very pleased and expressed a desire that the construction of the hospital should be immediately commenced. These kind words of Shaikh e Azam gave us a boost and strengthened our spirits.

Everything occurs at its destined time and at last the time has come when on Friday, the 27th of Muharram ul Haram (1st month of the Islamic calendar) coinciding with 19th March 2004, on the occasion of Urs e Makhdoomi, in the presence of visitors from across the globe, the foundation stone of "Makhdoom Ashraf Memorial Hospital" was laid by "Shaikh e Azam Sahib e Sajjada Sarkar e Kalan".

This hospital shall serve the local people as well the visitors who are till now deprived of basic medical care and treatment.
